About Chris

I support public institutions, commercial organisations and individual leaders through periods of significant business and personal transformation.

I have worked nationally and at scale.

I understand that people are always at the centre of all change initiatives and I believe in the enabling power that digital transformation can bring.

I was Head of Learning & Development Services for Parity Group plc, who focus on the relationship between technology and people to unlock the true power of data within a business. I led their Learning and Development consultancy division. During my time there I was the lead consultant on several major projects, a couple worthy of note include;

  • working with Government Digital Service (GDS) on their initial People Capability and Capacity building project with Mike Bracken before he moved on to Public Digital.
  • working with adidas on the design, development and ultimate execution of their Women in Business programme.

I was a Lead Consultant for Place Group working on the pilot phase of the national Building Schools of the Future (BSF) programme. The programme, orchestrated by Partnerships for Schools (PfS) a non-departmental government public body formed through a joint venture initiative between the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) (formerly known as the Department for Education and Skills (DFES) and now known as The Department for Education (DFS)), Partnerships UK and private sector partners, looked at rebuilding all secondary schools in the UK.

My interest in this work came from a project I headed up with the Centre for Educational Leadership (now no longer in operation) at the University of Manchester, where I worked as a Research Consultant. During this time I worked on the national BSF pilot programme with Knowsley Local Authority. The results of our leadership development work provided the basis of the resulting national role-out programme. The focus of the work focused on the design of a relevant School Leadership curriculum fit for 21st Century Education.

I have run my own Transformational Change business, SIX U Q Ltd. We supported businesses in how to use people-centric Data-Driven Decision-Making Methodologies (DDDM) to enhance business performance.

Some clients of note include;

My early career was spent at NMW Computers plc who installed the first X25 computing network in the UK. As their Learning & Development Manager I grew as a Management Development Consultant under the mentorship of James Noon of "A" Time. NMW Computers plc was eventually bought by ACT Financial Systems who were later bought by Mysis in 1995. Mysis themselves were later bought by Finastra the financial tech company. These formative years taught me much and laid the foundation for my future career.

In additon to my business life I have done plenty of other things, most noteably;
